An ethical dilemma is a decision making process where one has two options to choose from. The NP, Jessica, takes care of a couple known as Pat and Wink Sherrill. Patty and wink are both prescribed narcotic drugs for their arthritis pain. When taking these narcotics, one is required to undergo a urine test to find out if they are on the drugs or if they are diverting. After the test, it is discovered that Patty has not been on her medication but she has been going for refills. There is a probability pat is giving her drugs to her husband or she has been diverting hence she was kicked out from her primary care.
