Essay 4/Argument Analysis Overview:Pick a controversial topic, one about which people frequently have varying opinions. Once you have a topic, establish a thesis: what you are saying (your conclusion) and why what you are saying matters. In the body of the essay, analyze specific ideasboth your own and those you researched, in support of your position. Keep in mind that because there are rarely, if ever, just two sides to any topic, and that your thesis may not neatly square with all possible sides.
