Drinking and driving is a serious offense. It may lead to accidents, loss of life or even leaving a person in critical condition. However, a judge sanctioning a convicted drunk driver to display a sign on his/her car, indicating that they are convicted drunk driver, may not be the most reasonably humane way to pass a judgement (Worrall, 2018). Even though the ruling may prove to be effective because of its shaming nature, it has more tragic effects on both the convicted drunk driver as his/her dignity is tarnished and also to the family members.
