Incomplete DominanceIntroductionIncomplete dominance refers to a situation where the genes of an offspring bear the characteristics of both their parents (Nelson, 2018). It is a phenomenon where the less dominant gene known as the recessive gene shows some of its characteristics in offspring. However, the dominant gene cannot mask the effects of the less dominant gene creating a new phenotype of the genes where they share qualities to bring up new qualities (Schmiemann et al., 2017).
