Whether research is scholarly, practitioner or both, the best research project must be based on a thorough literature review (background material) of already published peer-reviewed, trade publications, other credible literature coupled with subject matter expertise in the topic of interest.  As you progress throughout the DBA program, you will be introduced to the fundamental components of research including the literature review, applicable research methods (quantitative, qualitative or both) and other practitioner components to contribute to your final research project in your selected area of interest.
