Case Study DraftThe purpose of the case study draft is to provide you with an opportunity for an additional assessment and the opportunity to gain valuable feedback to guide you and or your co-author to successful completion of this culminating case study project. As you will notice provided below are the requirements of the the case study. Additionally you have also been provided a rubric used to assess this case study draft. You are being asked to write a case study on one of the topics we have discussed in this class, or on a topic approved by the professor. You may use one or more of the sources provided to you, but you are responsible for using at least 10 sources in your paper. You may choose to submit your case study as a single author, or work with a co-author (limit to two). If you choose to work with someone you each will receive the same grade for the work submitted. You are also being provided Library Resources for your case study, please consider using this helpful information when researching and writing you case study. Your case study must focus on a specific topic, highlight the relevant literature that exists on that topic, and examine the ways in which the club and golf industry prepares for and responds to these situations. Your goal is to identify a club or golf enterprise that demonstrates best practices in your area of interest. Case studies may be compiled from field research, published sources and/or generalized experience. Each case study draft is expected to include sections related to the following topics:a). Abstractb). Key wordsc). Introduction to the topicd). Background of the subject organization and of the topic;e). Analysis of the dilemma;f). Theoretical Underpinning;g). Section explaining the questions and dilemmas of the case study;h). References and additional reading.The case studies must be of maximum 5,000 words excluding figures, tables, annexes and references. Case studies must use the headings above as guideposts in the paper. All case studies must be accompanied by a short abstract of not more than 100 words and a list of no more than six key words, which define the subject matter.Case Study Draft Rubric: FOR THE DRAFT, INCLUDE A MINIMUM OF 2 TO 3 SENTENCES PER SECTION. THE DRAFT IS INTENDED TO GET YOU STARTED ON THE RIGHT PATH FOR A SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED FINAL CASE STUDY SUBMISSION. THE DRAFT IS NOT INTENDED TO BE A COMPLETED SUBMISSION, BUT OF COURSE IF YOU WANT TO ASPIRE TO DO SO YOU WILL NOT BE PENALIZED:) Abstract/Key Words: 40/40(Not an introduction, but a paragraph offering an overview of the entire paper.) Introduction to the paper/Background of topic: 40/40(Make sure that you introduce your topic with an explanation of why it is important to discuss and examine. Please also provide a statement that states the purpose of the study at the end of this paragraph or section). (This is where you present two-three topics with research from your academic publications supporting the various issues related to your case.) 3. Thesis Statement/Questions and dilemmas of the case study: 40/40(Make sure you have a topic statement (e.g. the purpose of this paper is to) and the various issues that you are interested in discussing using open-ended questions.) Supporting Paragraphs/ Analysis of the dilemma: 40/40(These paragraphs offer your critique of the issue and examine the problem through an informed lens.) Integration of Information/ Use of Quotations and Research Findings: 40/40(Be sure to interject references in each paragraph where you provide information that is not intuitive. Additionally, please be sure to paraphrase the information you have found or use quotations and page numbers. Make sure to have some quotations in your case study) Conclusion: 40/40(Make sure you provide a conclusion wrapping up the paper. Do not just end it.) References/In source citations: 40/40(Please make sure to use APA formatting. Make sure you have at least ten in the final paper and please make sure to use them in the text.) Spelling, Grammar, Paper Formatting: 40/40(Please proofread for grammar, spelling, and formatting.) Writing Style and Academic Tone: 40/40(Please write in third person narrative.) Theoretical Contribution 40/40(A system of ideas intended to explain something, a set of principles on which the practice of an activity is based, or an idea used to account for a situation or justify a course of action.
