BrochureAThe inequality that seems to concern NOW the most is gender inequality. To be specific, women were not considered legal persons. As a result, their earnings were extremely below that of males by approximately 41%, and they were not allowed to possess a credit card except that of their husbands. Besides, many laws were working against women, and their unemployment rates were way worse than that of men. B For women to fully take part in American life, the ERA sees it necessary to make them full persons under the law and ensure that there is no female discrimination, thus equity in pay.
