Mark 6:45-52 contrasted with Matthew 14:25-27, 32-33Mathew appears to be more descriptive and expanded in his coverage of the events in contrast to the summarized and shortened nature of Mark recordings on events before and after Jesus walked on water. Mark does not cover the reprimand that peter gets from Jesus due to a lack of trust in the lord. Mark leaves absent peter's reactions and the eventual calling out on Jesus to save him when he starts sinking. More so, the attempt by peter to replicate the act of walking on water is only recorded on Matthew. This story is a crucial gap of difference between the two authors.
