To do that, he has to be royalty since the laws of the kingdom dictate that the princess could only get married to royalty. One day, he gets the opportunity to achieve all that when Jafar, the Royal Vizier, informs him of a cave full of gold and treasures buried deep in the desert (Musker and Clements, 1992).
