The incident, commonly known as 9/11, was a set of four synchronized terrorist attacks in the United States. The attacks were executed by Al-Qaeda, an Islamic terrorist group. On that fateful morning, four passenger-flights were attacked. The planes were departing from the northeastern United States to California. The first plane crashed into the south towers of the World Trade Center complex in Manhattan while the second one crashed into the North towers.
