HYPOTHESISA deteriorating Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) leads to an increase in human infectious diseases. ABSTRACT Pollutants present in indoor-air play a significant role in the transmission of infectious diseases. This research aimed to establish the relation between Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and the rate of infections. Data was collected qualitatively from academic sources such as books, journal articles and reports. The analysis and comparison of the findings demonstrated that indeed poor IAQ poses a public health risk. To mitigate this risk, the report gives recommendations aimed at improving the quality of indoor air, such as improved ventilation, new building designs, and regular checks and maintenance.
