Equal Pay Act of 1963Equal Pay Act of 1963 (EPA) is a law that forbids gender-based discrimination. It holds that men and women should be paid equally for equal work in the same workspaces. It commands equal pay on all types of compensations, including salary, vacation, paid leave, and bonuses, among others. As such, the Act is in place to primarily fight against wage discrimination on account of sex. The Act also permits individuals to file for discrimination claims under Title VII in the Civil Rights Act (Cho, and Abagail 1).
