SURVIVING AND TRIVINGThe Continuums of Care to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in January 2019 reported that Alaska has approximately 1,907 people who are homeless on any particular day. Out of that,161 were families,176 were young adults (18-24) who were alone 296 had enduring homelessness, and 111 were veterans. Information from public schools to the United States Department of Education in the year 2017-2018 showed that around 3,769 students were homeless in the year.
