The image below was taken by photojournalist Kevin Carter in 1993. After taking the picture, as directed by the ruling government officials, he left the scene without doing anything for the child. He subsequently won a Pulitzer Prize for the photo. Many have speculated that, haunted by the horrific images from Sudan, Carter committed suicide in 1994 soon after receiving the award. Kevin CarterQn.1 The image goes against my ideology on my belief systems and value systems. I believe that care for humanity by far supersedes all other aspects of life. In the process of an individual dispensing his professional duties, they must be considerate of the human being whom they interact with (Npr, 2006). As shown in the image, it was necessary to fit Carter to provide the child with the assistance needed. It would be prudent for more attention being put on the child in a bid to ensure that the virtue of humanity is sustained.
