Required Texts:Intimate Relationships, 8th Edition, by Rowland Miller.You must write a 1-2 page (double-spaced) summary relating real life examples (newspaper articles, songs, movies, TV programs, books, etc.) to concepts in intimate relationships covered in Unit 1 (Ch.1, 2, 3 & 6). Your example is worth 10 points and will be graded as follows: (1) Define the theory or concept (3 points). (2) In your own words describe the real life example (3 points). (3) Explain how your example pertains to the social psychological theory or concept (3 points). (4) Provide documentation of your real-life example (copy of song lyrics, copy of article, if you choose a movie please provide a complete reference of the movie) (1 point).Please note that personal anecdotes cannot be used as examples. In addition, you cannot use an article that makes direct reference to the concept you're describing in your portfolio. If you are unclear about what would constitute as appropriate documentation, it is your responsibility to discuss this with me prior to the due date.
