For your assigned state, make sure you review the most common STIs and then address the following in your initial post:Identify the groups most commonly impacted by STIs.The CDCs State Health Profile describes the program initiatives supported by the CDC and includes a link for the local state website for health and human services. Go to the local state link and determine what types of preventive services and programs your state offers (Note:This local state link should be located at the end of the State Health Profile report.).Discuss the level of interest your state shows in these programs and recommend improvements.Include the state you will be discussing in the title of your post. Your post should be a minimum of 500 words. If you refer to the article use appropriate in-text references and if you use any outside sources, make sure they are acceptable sources for this class (i.e. obtained through the University Libraries) and that you provide a reference for them. DiscussionThe most common STIs in the State of Nevada include syphilis, Chlamydia, and gonorrhea. As of 2015, Nevada occupied the 5th position regarding the prevalence of syphilis. Between 2011 and 2015, the number of cases of congenital syphilis was 19. Syphilis cases are also established to be significantly high among gays. In regards to chlamydial infections, the state occupies position 24 in prevalence among the other 50 (CDC, 2019). The rate of infections of Chlamydia among women was more than that of men.
