Posts should be at least 100 words in length1.  In The Journal for Quality and Participation, Jan Ferri-Reed presents five steps to lowering employee turnover and raise productivity among Millennials.  How effective do you feel these strategies for engaging the Millennials (Gen Y) would be in your workplace?  What problems would you anticipate coming from the administration and from other generations?2.  This week you viewed a presentation on Mentoring Others by Todd Dewett.  What role do you see this mentoring playing in the Transfer of Knowledge described by Shaw in chapter 13 of the Sticking Points text?3. Jan Ferri-Reed in Onboarding Strategies to Supercharge Millennial Employees presents a five-point plan for creating a sense of engagement for Millennials right from the start.  How is this approach similar/dissimilar to the onboarding approach used in your organization?  What difficulties does the Ferr-Reed approach create for the organization?4. In Chapter 15 of Sticking Points, Shaw identifies significant differences in how the different generations regard the conduct in formal meetings.  One difference relates to multi-tasking in a meeting when someone is making a presentation.  How do you personally view this type of multi-tasking and how does your organization regard this activity?5. One of the major issues faced in the workplace today is Loyalty.  The problem is one both for the organization and the employee.  Employees are concerned with the frequency that employers discard employees without regard for their welfare, and employers are concerned with the time and expense related to employee training only to have them leave without regard for how it may affect the organization.  Shaw addresses this concern in chapter 14 of Sticking Points and Dave Crenshaw in his Small Business Secrets series of videos discusses Building Employee Loyalty.  How serious is this problem in general, what has been your experience, and how does this affect your attitude toward your work?
