The intricacies of the film are in line with what St Thomas Aquinas considers beautiful in theology. According to Aquinas, beauty as four primary standards. These include; actuality, radiance, integrity and proportion. With respect to actuality, he states that humans love that which is not only good but also beautiful (Thiessen 89). In the case of Forrest, he chose to love Jenny in spite of her condition as he saw her as beautiful, in spite of any reservations which other people might have held regarding her (Zemeckis).
