Criminalization of Drug UseA mother needs to be charged with a crime if they give birth to a child having drugs within their system. Some of the commonly abused drugs have adverse effects on a mature person, with many of these being declared illegal. However, people still find mischievous ways to get their hands on the illegal for recreational use. The situation would, however, warrant severe consequence when an adult knowingly exposes a minor to these substances knowing fully well the effect on their development.
