The analysis takes into account, the responses Socrates gave when he was asked why he was not afraid of death and how he perceived the idea of life after he was dead. In every society, there is a description of what the afterlife is, and in most, it is considered to be the place the soul ends up after leaving the body during death. For Socrates, his lack of fear while facing death was based on the notion that his soul would end up in a place where it would dwell with great men or in a peaceful place just as most religious societies believe.
