Throughout this course, students have practiced personal forms of academic writing. In these kinds of writing situations, a student's ideas, observations, and analysis are central. In the final essay, you will choose another personal academic style of writing. It may be useful to critically think about what this type of writing requires. Please go back over your last three essays and take some notes, using the following questions as a guide:1. In what specific ways does a student's approach to personal academic writing differ from his/her approach to a more formal research project?2. Describe any difficulties that a student might encounter when writing personal academic essays?3.
