This assignment is the major project in the course and is worth 20% of your final grade. You will develop a formal informational/impact paper in response to the following scenario:You are a school Principal in the Modern Valley School District. Modern Valley has a student population of 108,000 students in 45 elementary schools, 19 middle schools, 15 high schools and 27 charter schools. There are 6,100 teachers in Modern Valley. All sites are networked to the district and a recent renovation of technology is presently being concluded to bring all schools up to date with current technology, increasing Internet bandwidth, access, and speed. There are 101,500 computers in the district including both major microcomputer platforms, desktop computers, laptop computers, and iPad-type devices.  Each school has a security and emergency preparedness plan as well as onsite school resource officers present during school hours, including one hour before and two hours after school each day.The district superintendent has asked one Principal from each school level, elementary, middle and high school to prepare a comprehensive examination of the current legal issues related to school violence, technology, and bullying/sexting on campus from the points of view of student rights and student discipline as well as potential school, teacher or administrator liability. Select the school level at which you would like to view the problem as Principal: Elementary, Middle or High School. You will need to research at least 10 court cases relevant to the issues, focusing both on landmark decisions that set precedents for current law, as well as cutting edge, recent cases and their outcomes.Your paper will inform the superintendent of the most pressing legal issues, how the courts have responded, and identify areas of concern and weakness for the schools of Modern Valley. Offer suggestions for implementation of plans to address the most dominant issues, and discuss how these plans might be viewed by various stakeholders.Your paper should be 10 pages in length (not including the title and reference pages) and be written in a formal research style with an introduction, body, subheadings, and conclusion/recommendations.
